We have teamed up with Enhance the UK, a disability charity to develop this educational course which aims to improve young peoples’ disability awareness. This course is suitable for young people aged 13 – 18 years old. If you are a school or youth club you may be eligible to receive this course for free. To check eligibility please contact us.

With this training, we aim to remove the ‘fear factor’ and embarrassment that surrounds disability. We do this by teaching you simple communication hints and tips in a fun, interactive, online course.

We believe that there is no better way to become more comfortable around disability than by meeting a range of people with different impairments, therefore the course is user lead and presented by disabled people themselves.

The course challenges the attitudes, perceptions, and expectations in relation to disability. The training is fun, inspiring, and emotive.

The training contains key aspects of disability awareness including:

• All round disability awareness
• Attitudes and terminology
• Communication
• Deaf awareness
• Visual impairments
• Physical impairments

This training can be taken at the students own pace and they can log in and out then return to where they left off.

Completing this training aims to remove the embarrassment of social interaction when working with disabled people by building your confidence and teaching you simple communication tips in a relaxed way via interactive learning. We believe that there is no better way to become more comfortable around disability than by meeting a range of people with different impairments. Our trainers have a range of disabilities and are here to remove the fear factor so often associated with disability.
